K, I agree this is tragic and I agree American is riddled with misogyny; however, murderers are murderers regardless of gender. I don’t care whether it is that woman who recently microwaved her baby or this guy. They are twisted people who don’t belong in society.

You want a real fun story to sink you teeth into? Try this one on for size:

Poor state trooper just “stubbed his toe”…..

I can’t believe his attorney could say that with a straight face.

The need to view murders by women as equal to murders by men is in fact misogynistic. Women do not commit a fraction of the murders that men do and to say that they do removes the perception that men murder more, more often, and more brutally. More children die at the hand of men than women and men kill women more often than women kill men. It benefits men to want to look at all murderers as a group instead of breaking it down to how many are males and how many are females. By doing this there will be no collective outrage inflicted on the men because it will appear that women do it too.

Women do not routinely stalk, threatened, make good on those threats, domestically abuse, rape, coerce sex (as the trooper in your example more than likely did) and all the other acts of terrorism that men inflict on women. Yet the collective man would like the perception to be that it is equal.

It will be in the best interest for men in our society who do not in fact do any of the above to women to admit that their brothers do in fact engage in this behavior and therefore need to be reprogrammed. It does little for change to point at an occasional woman who mimics typical terrorist behavior.

As far as the trooper. How much do you want to bet he saved the picture on his cell phone. They do that, they like little things they can revisit. Asshole.

“I can’t believe his attorney could say that with a straight face.”

I have come to the conclusion that it is because of misogyny that he could.
They think, and have reason to think they will be believed no matter how ridiculous. And it is often true.
