Our Enemy’s Enemy Is Our Friend

June 21, 2007

Unfortunately, it takes Stewart almost the entire five minutes to get to the punch line, but well worth it in my opinion, particularly because it demonstrates the stupidity of Bush, the unquestioning subordination of the media, and with the final Fave 5 joke, the indifferent and detach attitude people who are not fighting the war in Iraq have. This enemy of our enemy is our friend plan epitomizes the idiocy in which the Bush administration employs. As always Stewart exposes mass-produced Rove talking points by simply running segments of all the top news channels. Each talking head spouted off practically verbatim, as if their teleprompter had a direct feed to Karl Rove’s fax machine. And by god, the mighty citizens of this great nation are quiet as a church mouse and do not sweat a drop until their cell phones go out, then the panic attacks come on as if Armageddon is in the morning.

Rove is very much around. No one admits anything, no one resigns, no one accepts responsiblity, no one gets off the dole.

It is like a vicious cycle of never ending emotional torture.
