Olbermann Fruitlessly Calls for Bush’s Resignation

July 5, 2007

Keith Olbermann rants very well, however, it is all in vain. George Bush and Dick Cheney will never ever in a zillion years resign. Olbermann is attempting to appeal to senses, sensibilities, emotions, and loyalties to the American people that Bush and Cheney simply do not possess. In Bush and Cheney’s world, it is all about them. Period. Scorch the earth, rape the people, poison the rivers, it does not matter to them. If they even bothered to listen to Olbermann, I am quite sure he was dismissed with a laugh, while they flicked cigar ash in a servant’s hand. Bush and Cheney are the embodiment of “it is all about me.”

In addition, I have a problem with Olbermann calling Rove shrewd. Even though the word shrewd may apply somewhat, the positive connotations associated with the word is far too good for Rove. Shrewd is a defending chess champion who respects sportsmanship. Rove is not shrewd. What he is is willing to use means that even the most unethical politician would find offensive. That is what he is, he is without a doubt a malevolent villain to the American people, a beast, a monster, a traitor, an unredeemable scoundrel. He is the white-collar equivalent to the murdering and raping serial killer.

    How eloquent.

That was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you Keith Olbermann.

The people who used to defend Bush, and excuse his unyieldingly self-serving behavior, have dwindled down from a comfortable crowd to a laughable contingent.

Bush has managed to offend even those thought to be unquestionably loyal to him. The entire world despises him, and he doesn’t care. He continues to add insult to injury.

God I hate watching that footage of Scooter Libby and his smug egotistical grin. Take a long walk off a short pier.

When I was in Japan, in the military, there were two young men, best friends, who would not shower or brush their teeth unless a higher-ranking person stood in the shower and made them. At first we tried talking to them, because they stunk, we tried shaming them, we counseled them, reprimanded them, everything, and they could not see outside of whatever world they were living in. They were what I would call “goat ropers.” They would hurry from work (which was arduous and sweaty labor) run to their room peel off their uniforms and put on their goat roping outfit and head for the goat roping club. One even got in trouble for stealing his roommate’s cologne. He splashed cologne on top of his funky ass but would not shower. Anyway, my thought is, how nothing, NOTHING got through their heads. They were shameless. If you could have seen their teeth Gingermiss I know you would puke. Those two remind me of Bush and Cheney. No shame, absolutely no shame.

It is really like water off a duck’s back.
