Bowl of Strawberries and Badu

February 1, 2008

Is redemption ever actualised, or can it only be redeeming blips pieced together with recognisable sutures?
And because it is Friday, Erykah Badu’s, On and On.

    Damn….just damn.

That is some serious economy of words. So much content in just one question.

I’m working on my telegraphic prose. LOL!

But I was thinking this. I was asking myself. Will I ever be forgiven, or will my scars always get in the way. Will the scars prevent me from being forgivin, not just by others who see the scars but by me, who knows that it is not one whole piece, but millions of pieces put together to make one.

Not to get too pseudo-intellectual, but in high school I remember reading something about how one cannot say he or she has lived a good life until life is done. So at any given moment, someone can be in the middle of a painful cut (which will make a scar) and may say life sucks, but really they cannot say until it is all summed up.

All this because I eat too much damn cake!
