Where Would You Live?

July 16, 2017

If you were in the market to move to any state in the United States, and you needed to look for a job, and you had four children to consider, ages 7 to 18, what state would you move to?  Why that state?

No husband in tow.

    Rhode Island.

For the last few decades, New England states have been rated the best region to live in if you’re a woman. Vermont ranks #2, Massachusetts #4, New Hampshire #5, Maine #7, CT #10. Rhode Island only comes in at #22.

If you’re looking for work, Texas is #1 for jobs followed by Wyoming, Utah, Indiana, North and South Dakota, Colorado, Virginia. I would personally rather have bamboo shoved under my fingernails than to ever live in Texas. It’s atrocious when it comes to women’s rights and racism. No real surprise, Southern states are the worst places for women to live.

I’ve personally lived in most regions in the U.S. and many of the states mentioned above. My favorite states were Colorado, New England states, and South Dakota. But that was back when the country was still sane. Things have really changed a lot since then.
